As Mike and Kara progressed in their relationship, they found how much they shared a love for traveling. Last summer, they made a deal that, for the rest of their lives, they would do one trip a year to a different country and another trip to a domestic destination. Seattle was next on that last and .Mike knew that would be the trip he was going to ask Kara to marry him. A week before their trip, Mike reached out to me and we plotted out exactly how we would photograph his proposal that Friday - it would be in front of the lighthouse at the very tip of Discovery Park in Seattle. The day before, I got a phone call from Mike - they were at the airport, he had the ring in his backpack and his flight had gotten delayed 3 times- they were going to miss his flight to Seattle that night. His plan to propose on Friday had to be scratched. Eventually, they made it to Seattle the next morning and spent the rest of the weekend with the ring in his backpack until Sunday. Come Sunday, everything worked out as planned. She said yes!! Check out the photos below.
