Rachel and Tommy’s story dates back to the 1980’s when their parents owned shops in South Seattle. Fast forward and they rekindled their relationship when they met at a church in Tacoma where they ended up growing up together for over a decade. When you ask them how their friendship evolved, they both say they had a crush on each other at the same time, but it wasn’t until they had some liquid courage to admit they both liked each other. 25 years later, they found me to photograph their wedding celebration. The wedding was one of my favorite examples of ways that a couple made it tru to their style. Their requirements for a wedding: nothing super traditional - no flowers, no wedding party, people don’t need to sit in a formal ceremony setting, just us surrounded by our best friends and family and a massive dance party.
