Jessica is a Seattle native, but she & Malte met in Germany when she was working there for 3 years. Last January, she came back to the US and they were doing the big LDR cross- continental. When they got engaged this past fall at Gas Works Park, they decided they wanted to capture the essence of the city to touch on both where Jessica was originally from, but also where they could be settling down and starting their lives together. We spent was some time in the rain at beautiful Kerry Park, made a pit stop to target to grab a white shirt, then frolicked in and out of Pike Place and the Alaskan waterfront to capture the skyscraper skyline that Malte loves. The rain teased us all day so our shoot started with some umbrellas and we carried along with us all day but in true Seattle fashion, the sun came out by the time we made it downtown.
